Miscellaneous

Who knows what you might find here! Anything that I think is interesting but doesn't fit anywhere else in this web site is a good candidate for the miscellaneous page.

NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)

I've been participating in NaNoWriMo for the past five years. So far I have a 60% success rate. Not entirely bad but the strange thing is that I made it the first two years, then blew it completely for the next two before making it again in 2007. My novel from this year doesn't need a lot of re-writing. That will be my job when I do my first NaNoEdMo (National Novel Editing Month) in February of 2008. And... yes, I'll make a new page for that as well and if (when... need to say when) I publish one of my creations, you'll know about that too.

Irene's Blog

I've done it. I've tried blogging before (long before anybody was talking about it) and not done much. Now I've decided to give it another try. Please visit my blog, "Stuff and Nonsense" and tell me what you think by leaving a comment.

A Better Web Browser?

I've been using the Internet for nine years now. For only the second time in all those years I've found a better web browser. The first time was when I changed away from Netscape 2.0 to Microsoft Internet Explorer. Now I'm changing from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. If you'd like to join me, follow the link below.

Why do I like Firefox? Besides the fact that it seems to be much faster, I love the tabbed windows. It makes it much easier to work with multiple web pages and best of all, you can even bookmark a group of tabs. Give it a try.

Oh, and if you like the browser, try their e-mail client. I never thought I'd find anything I liked better than Outlook, but this one beats it. I have multiple e-mail accounts and Thunderbird makes it easy for me to track the mail from each account without having to create a lot of filters. Here's a link for Thunderbird:
